Henry Huang

The Distinguished Service Award recognizes individual Alliance members who have demonstrated exceptional support for specific initiatives within the Alliance.

Browan Communications’ Henry Huang currently serves as Vice Chair of the LoRa Alliance Board of Directors, where he has been a staunch advocate for interoperability and standardization. He has also led efforts to strengthen the Alliance’s global reach in new markets and grow awareness in the APAC region. He has been a highly visible LoRaWAN Ambassador, hosting and participating in numerous events and engaging with industry leaders and stakeholders to drive LoRaWAN technology and adoption.

 

Member Bio:

Mr. Huang served in Gemtek as senior executies for more than 2 decades in several functions from sales and marketing to investor relationship.  On Jan 2019, he was appointed as the Chief Executive Officer by the Board of Directors of Browan Communications Inc., (A Gemtek Group Company).

Henry has more than 20 years of international experience in wireless communications industry with extensive involvement in WLAN, Wimax, and LTE.  For the last decade, he has been leading in the early stage of LoRaWAN initiatives within the Gemteks group and shaping Browan Communications Inc. to become a leading player in LPWAN networks and devices.

An alumnus of University of Baltimore where Mr. Huang holds an MBA degree, he also has a degree in Electrical Engineering and Business Administration from National Kaohsiung Institute of Technology, Taiwan and University of Dubuque, IA, USA respectively.
