Arduino Portenta Vision Shield LoRa A rapid solution for embedded ML combining vision, audio, and LoRaWAN connectivity.
The Portenta Vision Shield LoRa® brings industry-rated features to your Arduino Portenta. This hardware add-on will let you run embedded computer vision applications, connect wirelessly via LoRa® to the Arduino Cloud or your own infrastructure, and activate your system upon the detection of sound events.
The Vision Shield is a rapid solution for embedded ML combining vision, audio, and connectivity. It comes with a 324×324 pixels camera module which contains an Ultra-Low-Power Image Sensor designed for Always-on vision devices and applications, ideal to capture gestures, ambient light, proximity sensing, and object identification. Thanks to the long-range 868/915MHz LoRa® wireless connectivity, you can easily connect your Portenta H7 with low-power consumption. Onboard SD-Card connector allows to store collected data or read configuration files. Using OpenMV, any Professionals, Researchers, and Developers can develop low-cost, Python-powered camera vision and audio applications.
The Vision Shield LoRa® has been designed to work with the Arduino Portenta H7. The Portenta H7 simultaneously runs high-level code along with real-time tasks; its two cores communicate via a Remote Procedure Call mechanism that allows calling functions on the other processor seamlessly. Portenta boards come with WiFi and Bluetooth.
