LoRa Alliance® Bringing the Power of LoRaWAN® to The Things Conference 2021
The Things Conference brings together thousands of developers, marketers, and solution providers. This informative conference has served as one of the premier venues to learn all about LoRaWAN, including the latest technology and product developments.
LoRaWAN is the global de facto standard thanks to the technology’s inherent advantages for IoT: easy to deploy, low power, long-range, cost-effective, flexible, secure, and efficient for large-scale deployments. CEO and Chairwoman Donna Moore stated: “LoRaWAN has the largest IoT ecosystem of members who closely collaborate and share expertise to develop and promote the technology. 2020 was a key year for the LoRaWAN standard, bringing many new features to simplify the development, deployment, and certification of LoRaWAN solutions, which is a requirement for massive scale.”
The LoRa Alliance® will be out in full force at this year’s event, with a look ahead at what 2021 has in store for LoRaWAN (hint, it’s massive) as well as a full complement of speakers sharing the latest technology and certification information needed to deploy LoRaWAN.
Our full speaker program at this year’s The Things Conference includes:
- “The Power of LoRaWAN – 2021 is the year of scale” Donna Moore will share why LoRaWAN is the only LPWAN uniquely positioned to enable massive scaling in 2021.
- “LoRaWAN standard developments” Alper Yegin, Vice Chairman LoRa Alliance will dive into the latest enhancements to the LoRaWAN specification, covering topics such as security, ease of deployment, network management, roaming, and much more.
- “Considerations for LoRaWAN in Different Geographic Regions” Dave Kjendal, Chairman Regional Parameters Working Group, LoRa Alliance, will explore the regional parameter specifications that need to be considered when developing LoRaWAN solutions. The keynote will also address the latest data rates supported and new opportunities for expanding global network capacity.
- “LoRaWAN 1.0.4” Alper Yegin, Vice Chairman LoRa Alliance will introduce the latest specifications designed to simplify LoRaWAN development, certification testing, and deployment.
- “LoRaWAN Device Certification” Derek Hunt, LoRa Alliance Certification Committee Chairman will explain why certification is so important and examine the risks of not certifying devices.
