Chirp joins LoRa Alliance® to promote IoT ecosystem growth
TUESDAY, JULY 23, 2024, 7:00 EST — Decentralized telecommunications network Chirp is pleased to announce that it has become a member of the LoRa Alliance®, a non-profit association that already counts 400 members, including Amazon Web Services, Orange and Chevron. The Alliance aims to promote and drive the success of the LoRaWAN® standard for Internet of Things (IoT) connectivity.
The LoRaWAN protocol is specifically designed for IoT devices to enable long-range communication with low power consumption, making it ideal for connecting battery-operated devices across large areas when battery life is the primary concern. The LoRa Alliance promotes the adoption of this technology and acts as the only global standard-setting body for the LoRaWAN protocol.
