Ryan Hickey

As Chief Operating Officer of eleven-x, Ryan Hickey is leading the way towards IoT adoption in Canada. eleven-x is the first and only coast-to-coast LoRaWAN public network operator in Canada. The applications being addressed by the eleven-x network span many industries including agriculture, transportation, health care, energy, environmental, and manufacturing. eleven-x strives to make it easy for its customers to adopt new technology and create new ways to improve operational efficiencies and generate new business opportunities. Ryan enjoys listening to customers’ problems and working closely with them to create innovative solutions that provide substantial economic value. Since co-founding eleven-x in 2014, Ryan has been instrumental in growing eleven-x into a successful leader in the emerging and exciting LPWAN market.

Prior to starting eleven-x, Ryan spent most of his career in various engineering and leadership roles at global telecom success BlackBerry. While at Blackberry, Ryan contributed to the development of low power, secure and highly reliable wireless technology for the company’s smartphone devices. Ryan holds a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering.
