Stefano Landi is the Director, AWS IoT where he is responsible for the overall organization strategy, product management, GTM and Operations. He joined Amazon in 2021 where he started as the GM, Amazon Sidewalk, building and operating a nationwide crowdsourced IoT Lora based network. Prior to landing at Amazon, he held several leadership management roles, most recently at Verizon where he was responsible for the Smart City/IoT business for 5 years, as a result of Verizon’s acquisition of Sensity Systems in 2016, where he was a Vice President.
As a highly motivated, result driven tech executive, passionate in impactful technologies, he launched and brought to market in the past 30 years various emerging tech products and services for the consumer, enterprise and public sector market within several startups as well as large established companies like AT&T, Nokia, Palm, Juniper Networks and Apple.
Originally from Italy, with fluency in several languages having lived across Europe, Asia and the US since his childhood. He earned a BS in electronic engineering and computer science from the Université de Nice-Sophia Antipolis and a MS in telecommunications from Telecom Paris — Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Télécoms (ENST) in 1996, as well as completed the Stanford Graduate School of Business executive program. He lives in San Jose, CA with his wife and daughter.
