Held in Barcelona since 2011, Smart City Expo World Congress is the world’s biggest and most influential event for cities and urban innovation. Every year, we gather leaders from the most innovative companies, governments and organizations to move cities towards a better future. Our goal is to collectivize urban innovation across the globe and empower cities to face the critical challenges the world faces today.
We’re on a mission to accelerate a brighter urban paradigm towards green, efficient and thriving cities that leave no one behind.
Smart City Environmental Monitoring and Pollution Reduction Solution
Hardware:
1. SenseCAP S2120 – Commercial LoRaWAN Weather Station:
Air temperature, air humidity, wind speed, wind direction, rainfall, light intensity, UV index, and barometric pressure
2. SenseCAP S800/S1000 + SenseCAP S2100 data logger – Industrial LoRaWAN Weather Station:
S800: Air temperature, relative humidity, barometric pressure, wind speed, wind direction, PM2.5, PM10, noise
S1000: Air temperature, relative humidity, barometric pressure, light intensity, rainfall (optical), PM2.5, PM10, wind speed, wind direction (ultrasonic), and CO2
Software:
Seeed provides the SenseCAP Portal platform and SenseCAP Mate APP to help users better manage and check data remotely.
SenseCAP Portal is a web service to enable users to manage SenseCAP devices and view data through the web. It includes Dashboard, Device Management, Data Management, and Access Key Management. It also provides MQTT and HTTP API to users for further development. SenseCAP APP is a powerful APP for data visualization and remote device management.
Solution:
We offer an end-to-end solution that builds on the existing LoRaWAN network coverage. After deploying weather stations, users and enterprises can check the data directly on our SenseCAP Portal platform and app, which will be beneficial in implementing SDGs including goal 11 sustainable cities and communities, etc.
Role of LoRaWAN:
Extensive LoRaWAN network coverage enables fast deployment for users.
Reduce energy costs with wireless temperature sensors
Energy saving is a hot topic, and our sensors with LoRaWAN are ideal for such a use case!
Furthermore, we also have LoRaWAN temperature sensors powered by an indoor solar cell, which means no maintenance with changing batteries, and battery-free is good for the environment.
Efficient Smart City Solution
We’ll demonstrate waster management, tracking solutions, indoor air quality, people counting and occupancy into a comprehensive, efficient smart city solution.
Building our future together
Over 280 successful LoRaWAN IoT & Smart City projects & implementations.
Smart City Solutions for the Digital Transformation (Environmental & Power Monitoring, Intelligent Lighting, Intelligent Mobility)
OrbiWise has supported the deployment of few public and private networks featuring Smart City Applications such as Environmental Monitoring (Air, Water, Electrical Power, Noise) or Intelligent Mobility in European as well as American Countries to build affordable and scalable end-to-end solutions for the local Municipalities and Regions. OrbiWise is proud to showcase those projects at SCWC 2023.
The Power of Actility’s ThingPark IoT Platform for Smart City Solutions
Actility’s ThingPark LPWAN platform enables Smart City services by connecting various IoT devices into a single network. Data collected from sensors, environmental monitoring equipment, and smart meters is analyzed to optimize city management. By using a shared IoT platform, cities can benefit from a variety of services such as smart parking, street lighting, waste bin management, and more. The platform also includes advanced analytics and machine learning for process modeling, real-time control, and predictive maintenance. The result is a fully integrated solution for managing the huge amounts of data generated by a Smart City IoT network. In addition, Actility’s technology agnostic LPWAN service management platform now allowed unified management interfaces for Cellular IoT and LoRaWAN access networks to operate both the LoRaWAN and NB-IoT public networks. By covering both unlicensed and licensed spectrum technologies, cities can now offer tailored connectivity for every use case, including the ones that require 10 to 15 years of operation on battery power, like water or gas metering.
IoT and AI for efficient and sustainable maintenance
We offer a vibration sensor with LoRaWAN connectivity for maintenance services in a city.
Smart Waste Management and Water Level Monitoring with LoRaWAN-Sensor WILSEN.sonic
The battery-powered ultrasonic sensor WILSEN.sonic from Pepperl+Fuchs is mainly used in two smart city applications:
The demands placed on cities and municipalities to provide citizens with convenient, environmentally friendly living arrangements are increasing. The WILSEN.sonic enables intelligent disposal management, in which the filling levels of used glass, old clothes, and recyclables containers are monitored remotely so that the containers are only collected once filled to a set amount. This saves money, fuel and CO2 emissions.
The wireless sensor WILSEN.sonic monitors fill levels of rivers, lakes and flood basins. It transmits additional information such as temperature, geolocation and battery status even across many kilometres helping to better protect against flooding.
