Description

The CP-SAT sensor is designed to monitor cathodic protection voltages and currents accurately and efficiently. If the threshold is crossed, it sends early warning messages over satellite or terrestrial networks.

CP-SAT is an ultra-low-power device equipped with a photovoltaic panel and supercapacitors, with an optional primary battery. It has 3DC + 1AC analog inputs, galvanically insulated from each other and the ground, bipolar, and with selectable SW. Sensor parameters can be programmed remotely. The acquired data is logged in internal storage memory for later analysis. Its rugged design and construction makes it ideal for installation in harsh environments typically encountered in industrial applications

  • The solution enables unattended and long-term monitoring of the health status of the cathodic protection.
  • It uses cooperative terrestrial and satellite communication systems for bi-directional and real-time transmission. In satellite communication mode, no gateway or other infrastructure is required.
  • This system is suitable for long-range coverage of areas that are typically not covered by GSM, LTE, NB-IoT, and 5G.
  • It uses an ultra-efficient integrated antenna that requires no pointing.
  • The system ensures a high level of cybersecurity throughout the entire signal chain by encrypting messages.
  • Collected data can be accessed through a dedicated web dashboard or locally via a wireless connection.
  • The system allows for remote or local setting of operating parameters, including full firmware upgrades.
  • It is easy to install and maintain, with wireless devices powered by solar energy or optional batteries. Remote programming and updating are also possible.
