Become a LoRaWAN expert with Savoie Mont Blanc University
Trainings are available in French and English.
Our objectives are clear:
you will build a complete LoRaWAN infrastructure.
you will have as much time as you want with the instructor to talk about your use case, your innovation or your design.
you can progress at your own pace, selecting the topics that interest you according to your role in the company and the skill you want to achieve.
There will be no boring lectures. All the information you need to know about LPWAN are available on your e-learning platform (please ask for a free access for education). You have a life time access to all the content.
For more information please go on Savoie Mont Blanc University Website
LoRaWAN training lasts “1 day + 2 days”. What does this mean?
Day 1 is the minimum time required to familiarize yourself with the contents of the e-training platform. This platform is mainly made up of short videos on LoRaWAN technology. There are also many demonstrations. We consider that it’s important to watch at least half of the videos before registering to the training.
The next two days are the training with your instructor. If you choose the on-line training, your instructor will guide you, help you or explain specific points you may wish to explore in greater depth. The maximum is 4 persons per instructor. If you choose the on premises training, your instructor will come up at your company premises for 2 days.
In both case, you’ll carry out around 30 demonstrations by yourself using the training kit you’ll receive before the session.
As soon as you register, you’ll have access to the training platform with all the resources you need to learn about the LoRaWAN protocol. You’ll receive a package with all the equipment you need to follow the 2-day training session. This material is yours and you can keep it. It includes :
You’ll have at your disposal a hands-on book with more than 30 different manipulations. You will validates all the LoRaWAN concept such as the radio properties, security, energy consumption, reliability, and data representation…
You’ll see the entire network infrastructure : transmission between LoRa Devices, channel and transmission properties (RSSI, Spreading Factor, sensitivity, Signal-to-Noise Ratio, link budget), activation methods (ABP, OTAA), Device classes (A, B, C), Gateway configuration, packet forwarders, frame types (uplink, downlink, confirmed, unconfirmed), Adaptive Data Rate, Network Server (authentication), Application Server (encryption), data export (HTTP, MQTT), IoT platforms, private network installation (Chirpstack & The Things Stack), custom payload formats.
We won’t let you down! Sometimes questions come up after the training. You may have continued with your project and still have questions about it. You can contact us up to a week after your session (by telephone or video conference) for guidance or for asking any questions.
