The Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), often referred to as Industry 4.0, is the revolution of further digitizing localized and disparate control systems that simply and securely capture data from sensors, actuators, factory machines and industrial appliances, and integrate with analytical applications either on premises or in the Cloud. The IIoT offers users the ability of leveraging standards based, open technologies from a broad ecosystem of vendors across wireless connectivity’s, cybersecurity, edge intelligence and cognitive computing to streamline operations to better manage resources, equipment and the safety of personnel.

In this panel, members of the LoRa Alliance®, a non-for-profit association that promotes the LoRaWAN® standard for Low Power Wide Area networks, and guests will present their vision for digital transformation and remote sensor deployments increasingly found in Oil & Gas.  The applications common in all segments of Oil & Gas include condition-based monitoring, valve position, pump monitoring, pressure and temperature sensing, chemical tank level optimization, environmental and human safety related monitoring.
