A digital innovation trial by Hunter Water and NNNCo will assist in detecting leaks and predicting water main bursts before they occur.

The National Narrowband Network Co (NNNCo), an Australian carrier providing an Enterprise IoT network service and platform, has announced the selection of its N2N-DL Data Platform by City of Newcastle as part of the Newcastle City Intelligent Platform implementation.

Due to the efficient data transmission, the low sensor costs and the long battery life of the measuring devices, it is possible to bring a multiple of the previously used sensors into the field and trigger frost and heat warnings by SMS or email. A demo operation for frost warning is currently running in the Kamptal and the Wachau with the wineries Bründlmayer and Müller and the secondary school and federal office for viticulture and fruit growing in Klosterneuburg.
